Petro Steel Co Ltd: Is a 50:50 partnership company between Rafid Group and Rotary Engineering Ltd of Singapore. Petro Steel is specialized in design, fabrication and erection of storage tanks (Cone roof, floating roof, spheres, cryogenic tanks, etc) for petroleum and petrochemical products storage.

Our company is licensed by SAGIA and legally registered with Saudi Ministry for Commerce & Industry. We have already secured the approval from the Royal Commission for design of our facility in Jubail and from SCECO for our power requirements. The facility is expected to go on operation by the 4thQ of this year.

The interesting fact is that although our facility is not yet established in Jubail, we have already secured two contracts, one with SABIC – Sharq for design, fabrication of storage tanks of value USD 7.5 million as a sub contractor with Stone & Webster and the other one with Tecnicas Reunidas for the Hawiyah Gas Plant Expansion of Saudi Aramco.

Our partner, Rotary Engineering Ltd (REL) had completed many projects successfully in Singapore, China, Thailand, Indonesia and India. REL has been awarded a storage tank terminal project on EPC basis by Universal Terminal Pte Ltd in Jan 2006. This project calls for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of 73 tanks (capacity 2.3 million m3) for Oil & Petroleum storage. Upon completion, this terminal will be the largest Oil storage terminal in the world.
